Why act immediately
A fly-tipping incident left unsecured overnight will almost always attract further dumping. Word spreads quickly among waste criminals that a site is unprotected — and what starts as one load can become hundreds of tonnes within days.
Beyond volume, delay destroys evidence. Vehicle tyre tracks wash away. ANPR windows close. Witnesses' memories fade. The window for intelligence gathering that leads to prosecution is at its widest in the first 24 hours.
CIT security capabilities
Manned guarding
SIA Door Supervisor licensed officers — static or mobile patrol, 12hr or 24hr deployment, uniformed or covert.
Covert CCTV deployment
Rapidly deployed standalone CCTV towers with motion activation, night vision and remote monitoring. No infrastructure required.
ANPR capture
Mobile ANPR cameras deployed at site access points — capturing all vehicle movements for intelligence analysis.
Access control
Temporary barriers, security notices and access management to prevent further vehicle access to compromised areas.
Perimeter assessment
Identifying and reporting on physical vulnerabilities — gates, fencing, lighting — that enabled or facilitated the original incident.
Evidence preservation
Scene management to preserve physical evidence — tyre tracks, footprints, waste profiles — in the correct condition for submission to enforcement agencies.
The deployment process
Call 0121 751 9038 — 24/7
Straight through to CIT operations — no call centre. We take your incident details and confirm deployment on the same call.
Rapid site assessment
Before officers leave, our operations team assesses the site remotely — Google Maps, satellite imagery, access routes — to ensure we deploy the right resource.
Officers arrive and secure the scene
SIA-licensed officers establish control of the site, conduct an immediate intelligence sweep and begin contemporaneous documentation of everything present.
CCTV and ANPR positioned
Where required, covert CCTV and ANPR cameras are positioned to capture approach routes and any further activity — active within 30 minutes of arrival.
Handover and ongoing tasking
CIT operations maintain command. Officers rotate as required. You receive a daily situation report. Security continues until the site is cleared and secured.
CCTV and ANPR — compliance
All CIT CCTV deployments comply with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) guidance on CCTV, the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice 2013, and UK GDPR. Where CCTV is deployed on private land, appropriate signage is erected.
ANPR data captured by CIT is processed in compliance with UK GDPR. Vehicle registration marks are cross-referenced against lawful open-source databases — including the DVLA, Environment Agency waste carrier register and MID insurance database. All ANPR data is retained for no longer than necessary for the investigation and prosecution purposes for which it was collected.
